Deep, dark, completely opaque ruby-red colour right to a purple rim. Aromas are of ripe fruit with plenty of clean, cedary , new oak. Rich, rounded, cassis fruit is kept lively by good acidity. There is a meaty richness & the mid-weight structure has supple tannins. Oak notes compliment rather than dominate the fruit. Length is good if not exceptional, but is beautifully balanced, showing fruit throughout its entirity
